Bergthora Aerickova, or Mia as she has taken to calling herself, has been a vampire for more than a century and a half. She has superhuman strength and speed. She can alter the shape and nature of her flesh and project her senses with a form of short range clairvoyance. She can read other people’s thoughts and skim through their recent memories. With the power of suggestion, she can even influence their actions, provided that she doesn’t try to force them to commit acts that are extremely contrary to their nature.
She is also absolutely miserable. The fact that she has to kill to obtain sustenance fills her with remorse. Even worse, Arthur, the one who gave her the Gift and to whom she is eternally bound, is a monster in every sense of the word. The bond between them is the most vile thing she can imagine. Not only does it allow him to know where she is and what she’s feeling, but it compels her to follow the letter of his every command. There is little hope of betraying him; even in the absence of a direct order, the most minor attempt results in excruciating agony.
And now he has brought her to Pittsburgh for reasons he refuses to share. As she becomes increasingly sloppy, savage and indiscriminate in her choice of food, she begins to suspect that he is using her as a pawn, but she doesn’t understand the game being played.

I would like to start out by saying that I don't really read vampire books (maybe I should start). I tend to stick to science fiction novels. My vampire knowledge comes from movies like Underworld. With that said, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The plot is cohesive and the characters are likable. As Melanie said, both the protagonist and villain have reasonable motivations for their actions.
Again, to agree with Melanie, this book this book brought forth some very unique features about vampires and their origins. I won't go into anymore detail, but I found the explanation for their origins quite intriguing.
Back to the book, I found it very difficult to put down. I finished the book in less than a week, and given that I work and am a huge video game player, I think that speaks for itself. I would definitely recommend reading this, whether you are a vampire fan or not.

Blood Hunt Blood Saga Book 1 eBook Adam Crowe Reviews
Excellent read- I would definately reccomend this book! The character development was outstanding and the plot really pulled me in. I can't wait for the sequel- where has this author been hiding?
Let me start out by saying that I loved this story. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!
I downloaded Blood Hunt expecting a poorly written knockoff of Twilight or True Blood. (I love vampire stories, so I figured it couldn't be TOO bad.)
What I got was a cohesive plot, character development, and rational motivations for protagonist and villain alike. I really enjoyed this novel, and it offers a number of very unique elements (to me anyway) including the nature of the relationship between vampires, their origin, and their powers.
What I liked best was that it wasn't hard to believe that vampires like the ones depicted here could really be out there in our world and we'd never know it. I'll stop there so I won't give any spoilers, but if you like vampire stories download this one. You won't regret it.
One last thing. The author didn't provide any warnings, so I will this book contains profanity and extremely graphic violence and sex (which is often as violent as the violence - which I never minded). I definitely wouldn't recommend it for 'tweens or more sensitive readers.
I was told by a friend to read this book. I'm glad I did. Not being a big vampire lover I really didn't think I would get into this book. Well I was SO wrong! Great story line, realistic, and informative (things that make you go hmmm! About vamps you will now know the answers!). Well I'm hooked now! Keep the saga going!!!!!!
